Curious young arctic fox on Nipisat island

During my visit of the island of Nipisat, I found out that in the remains of the buildings still someone is living.
Turned out that it was turned in to a den for arctic foxes. And there was still a young one around. Which was not to scared of me, quit curious even, so she allowed me to come close and take some really nice pictures.
After my walk around I returned to the den and managed to sneak up on the fox and catch it sleeping, only it woke up just before I could take a picture. But still she did not ran away and was even posing for some more nice pictures.

Enjoy

Who is hidding there?

Ah now I see

Who is check in who out?

Colors of Greenland

During the fishing trip, we came by the Island of Nipisat. Here the Dutch had a whaling station during around 1720. As you can see on the pictures there are still remains of the old settlements, including a slipway and the remains of some houses. Peter droppes me off here to have a walk around the place. Which was really nice.
Lots of things to see and beautiful colors all around.

Enjoy the pictures and also enjoy the colors of Greenland.

The high grass, points out that there has been a settlement here in earlier days.
